About Me

I am a Canberra singer-songwriter inspired by place, people and circumstance - I write quirky (?), honest songs about everyday things.

Mabel

Mabel is my Maton. She’s beautiful and lots of the time I’m inspired because of her. If you haven’t heard of Matons, they’re a wonderful thing from Australia. Guitars that when made are given personalities so each one sings a different song - plus they use bunya wood (and the bunya tree is an impressive and important thing).

Augustus

Augustus is a big German piano who I spent many many hours with growing up. He showed me a world of classical music, but was too heavy when it came to wanting to busk, so I picked up a guitar and harmonica and learnt the words to some drunken favourites.
